Meet Hadijah Nanyonjo

Nanyonjo Hadijah is a compassionate and ambitious 13-year-old student currently in Primary Six. Growing up in a large family as the fifth-born among four brothers and five sisters, Hadijah’s life took a tender and challenging turn following the passing of her grandfather a few years ago. Today, she stays with her aging grandmother, who provides her with love and guidance despite immense hardship.

The household faces a daily crisis of food insecurity. Because of her advanced age, her grandmother is no longer able to work the land or dig in the fields to secure a harvest, leaving them with very little to eat and making the pursuit of education an uphill battle. Yet, witnessing the physical suffering around her has planted a deep seed of purpose in Hadijah's heart: she wants to become a doctor so she can heal the sick and bring health and hope to her community.

Sponsorship will provide Hadijah with consistent nutritional support, school fees, and essential scholastic materials, lifting the heavy burden off her grandmother's shoulders and ensuring Hadijah has the strength and stability to study toward her dream of saving lives in the medical field.
