Meet Jovia Namuwaya

Jovia Namuwaya is a responsible, caring, and determined 13-year-old student currently in Primary Six. As the first-born in her family with one brother and one sister, Jovia carries a mature sense of duty toward her younger siblings.

Her family life underwent a major shift when both of her parents were forced to move to the city in search of employment opportunities, leaving Jovia and her siblings in the care of their aging grandmother. Supporting three growing children on a grandmother’s limited and fragile income makes covering school fees and purchasing basic learning supplies an ongoing struggle every term. Despite the absence of her parents and the financial insecurity at home, Jovia remains deeply committed to her education. Witnessing the health challenges faced by elderly guardians and vulnerable communities has nurtured a strong, compassionate dream within her: Jovia wants to become a doctor so she can provide quality medical care to those in need.

Sponsorship will cover Jovia’s tuition fees, provide her with essential scholastic supplies, and lift the heavy financial strain off her aging grandmother -- ensuring Jovia has the stability, security, and encouragement needed to pursue her dream of entering the medical field.
