Anitah Nakiyabwe’s story
Nakiyabwe Anitah is a 10-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Kyampisi, Anitah faces a daily physical challenge, walking 2 to 3 kilometers on foot to and from school, which sometimes causes her to arrive late during bad weather.
Raised by her parents in a family of eight members who rely on peasant farming, Anitah experiences significant financial strain. The household struggles with securing daily meals and meeting school fees requirements. Despite these heavy burdens, she enjoys reading story books and playing netball, and she maintains a strong ambition to become a medical doctor. Sponsorship will provide Anitah with essential learning supplies, food security, and educational stability.
