Josephine Namubiru’s story
Namubiru Josephine is an 11-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Buwuma, Josephine faces a daily physical challenge, walking 2 to 3 kilometers on foot to and from school, which sometimes causes her to arrive late during bad weather.
Raised by her grandmother in a small household of three members who rely on farming, Josephine experiences financial strain. The family struggles with school fees challenges, a lack of basic needs, and long-distance walking fatigue. Despite these heavy burdens, she enjoys reading story books and maintains a strong ambition to become a medical doctor. Sponsorship will provide Josephine with essential learning supplies, basic needs support, and educational stability.
