Abdallah Ssegawa’s story
Ssegawa Abdallah is a 12-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Bulere, Abdallah faces a daily physical challenge, walking 2 to 3 kilometers on foot to and from school, which sometimes causes him to arrive late during bad weather.
Raised by his mother in a family of six members who rely on peasant farming, Abdallah experiences financial strain. The household struggles with securing daily meals and meeting general financial needs. Despite these heavy burdens, he enjoys reading story books and playing football, and he maintains a strong ambition to become an engineer. Sponsorship will provide Abdallah with essential learning supplies, food security, and educational stability.
