Sharon Nalwada’s story
Nalwada Sharon is a 13-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Bamungaya, Sharon faces a daily physical challenge, walking 2 to 3 kilometers on foot to and from school, which sometimes causes her to arrive late during bad weather.
Raised by her mother in a family of seven members who rely on peasant farming, Sharon experiences financial difficulties. The household struggles with buying school requirements, long-distance walking fatigue, and underlying health challenges. Despite these heavy burdens, she enjoys reading story books and maintains a strong ambition to become a medical doctor. Sponsorship will provide Sharon with essential learning supplies, medical and living support, and educational stability.
