Namagembe Swabullah’s story
Namagembe Swabullah is a 13-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Kyampisi, Swabullah faces a demanding daily commute, walking 3 kilometers to and from school on foot.
Raised by her mother in a family of seven members who rely on peasant farming, Swabullah experiences financial problems and a lack of basic needs. The long walk to school also causes her to arrive late on days when the weather is bad. Despite these heavy daily burdens, she enjoys reading story books and playing netball, and she maintains a strong ambition to become a medical doctor. Sponsorship will provide Swabullah with essential learning supplies, food security, and educational stability.
