Babirye Jenipher’s story
Babirye Jenipher is a 10-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Kizigo, Jenipher faces a daily physical challenge, walking 2 to 3 kilometers on foot to and from school.
Raised by her mother in a large household of nine members who rely on peasant farming, Jenipher experiences severe financial problems. The family lacks proper shelter and beddings, and financial constraints make daily life very difficult. Despite these heavy burdens, she enjoys reading story books and playing netball, and she maintains a strong ambition to become a teacher. Sponsorship will provide Jenipher with essential learning supplies, improved living support, and educational stability.
