Oketch Rogers’s story
Oketch Rogers is a 13-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Kizigo, Rogers faces a daily physical challenge, walking 2 to 3 kilometers on foot to and from school, which sometimes causes him to arrive late during bad weather.
Raised by his mother in a large household of 12 members who rely on peasant farming, Rogers experiences significant financial problems. The family's limited resources make it difficult to cover daily needs and school expenses. Despite these heavy burdens, he enjoys reading story books and playing football, and he harbors a strong ambition to become a teacher. Sponsorship will provide Rogers with essential learning supplies, food security, and educational stability.
