Nakibule Zainabu’s story
Nakibule Zainabu is a 13-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Kizigo, Zainabu faces a daily physical challenge, walking 2 to 3 kilometers on foot to and from school, which sometimes causes her to arrive late during bad weather.
Raised by her mother in an extraordinarily large household of 30 family members who rely on peasant farming, Zainabu experiences severe financial strain. The sheer size of the family makes it extremely difficult to provide basic needs like daily food and pay school fees. Despite these heavy burdens, she enjoys reading story books and holds a strong ambition to become a teacher. Sponsorship will provide Zainabu with essential learning supplies, food security, and educational stability.
