Nansubuga Ruth’s story
Nansubuga Ruth is a 13-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Living in the village of Kizigo, Ruth faces a daily physical challenge, walking 2 to 3 kilometers on foot to and from school, which sometimes causes her to arrive late during bad weather.
Ruth's home life involves profound challenges: her mother is dumb, and the family lives in a muddy house. Raised by her grandmother within a massive household of 13 members who rely on peasant farming, Ruth also faces a severe lack of basic needs like clothing and proper beddings. Despite these heavy burdens, she enjoys playing netball and holds a strong ambition to become a doctor. Sponsorship will provide Ruth with essential scholastic materials, improved living support, and educational stability.
