Richard Mutaawe’s story
Mutawe Richard is a young and vulnerable student navigating extraordinary family hardships. Richard lives in a large household with his grandmother and six siblings, where he shares the heavy weight of extreme poverty.
Richard's father suffered a severe mental breakdown, leaving him completely insane and unable to provide any care or financial support for his children. With the entire burden falling on his elderly grandmother, the family struggles desperately just to secure daily food and basic survival needs. Compounding these daily struggles, securing essential scholastic materials for Richard's education is an overwhelming hurdle. Sponsorship will provide Richard with stable learning supplies, food security, and the chance to continue his education despite these immense trials.
