Meet Usira Nassuna

Usira Nassuna is a gentle, resilient, and dedicated 13-year-old student currently in Primary Six. Growing up as the fourth-born in a large family of three brothers and three sisters, Usira’s young life has been profoundly shaped by complex family dynamics and economic hardship.

Following a severe family dispute, Usira’s biological mother left the home, leaving Usira and her siblings under the care of their father and step-mother. Living in a large household with limited financial resources creates an intense daily struggle. The family faces an acute shortage of food, and securing funds for school fees and basic scholastic supplies is an ongoing hurdle that frequently threatens Usira’s education.

Despite the emotional pain of her mother's departure and the daily strain of poverty, Usira remains deeply focused on her studies. Inspired by a heartfelt desire to comfort others in pain and bring health to her community, she aspires to become a nurse after completing her studies.

Sponsorship will cover Usira’s tuition fees, provide consistent nutritional support and essential learning supplies, and restore stability to her life -- allowing her to heal, excel academically, and pursue her dream of entering the medical profession.
