Enock Ssekayi’s story
Ssekayi Enock is an active, dedicated 15-year-old Senior 2 student living in Buwundo Village. An energetic student who loves sports, Enock actively plays football and volleyball. Every school day, he demonstrates his commitment to learning by walking an hour each way between his home and school.
Enock lives with his mother and four brothers. His father works away from home at the Mehta Sugar plantation and is only able to visit the family during public holidays. Because his father earns a very low wage, covering tuition for a family with five children is an overwhelming financial strain, leading to continuous delays in paying Enock's school fees. Enock dreams of completing his secondary and higher education so he can give back to his country and uplift his community. Sponsorship will provide the stability Enock needs to remain in school and fulfill his potential.
