Patience Najjambi’s story

Najjambi Patience is a brilliant and focused 13-year-old starting her secondary education journey in Senior 1. Living in Kizigo Village, Patience holds a unique and ambitious career goal: she aspires to become a medical pathologist to diagnose diseases, advance health, and contribute to community development.

Patience is raised by a single mother and her grandmother, as her father abandoned the family when she was just 5 years old. Neither her mother nor grandmother has formal employment; both rely on subsistence farming, earning a small, uncertain income through manual digging. Because of these severe financial constraints, the family still owes unpaid tuition balances from primary school while struggling to cover her new Senior 1 secondary fees and required supplies. Sponsorship will ensure Patience remains in school, relieving her family's burden and empowering her to become a medical professional.
