Hasifah Nalwoga’s story
Hasifah Nalwoga is a bright, multi-talented Senior 2 student with a passion for science and sports. The youngest of five children, Hasifah is a skilled netball player who earned the opportunity to compete at the international level in Mbarara in 2024. In the classroom, she thrives in science subjects and dreams of becoming a secondary school science teacher.
Hasifah was raised by her single mother after her father left the family when she was very young. Her mother relies on subsistence cassava farming -- a slow-growing crop that requires heavy physical labor, leaving her mother with chronic back and joint pain. Because money is extremely tight, Hasifah’s mother has warned her that she may only be able to fund her education through Senior 4 (O-Level). Driven to complete her secondary and tertiary education, Hasifah needs sponsorship to stay in school, achieve her teaching dreams, and support her family.
