Meet Doreen Nakitto

Doreen Nakitto is a 14-year-old pupil attending Omuto Emmaus Nursery and Primary School in Lugazi Municipality, Buikwe District. Beyond her own daily struggles as a student, Doreen shoulders an extraordinary emotional and physical burden, taking on a "child-parent" role to care for her younger brother, Ibra Magumba, who is frequently sickly.

Living with their grandmother in a home where conditions are dismal, Doreen faces severe poverty, a lack of basic scholastic materials, and the constant strain of nursing her brother while trying to stay in school. Sponsorship will provide Doreen with essential learning supplies, relief for her grandmother, and vital support to help her secure a stable education.
