Meet Kasana Dawson

Kasana Dawson is an 8-year-old primary pupil living in Kikube Village. Despite living with Sickle Cell disease -- a painful and chronic genetic blood disorder -- Dawson remains resilient and eager to attend school, holding a bright vision of becoming a professional driver when he grows up.

Following the tragic passing of his father, Dawson was left in the care of his elderly grandmother. To support the household and meet their basic needs, his grandmother performs exhausting physical labor, crushing and collecting stones to sell for a small income. Between his medical requirements, food shortages, and his grandmother's advanced age, securing school fees and healthcare support is an overwhelming struggle. Sponsorship will ensure Dawson receives stable educational support, access to proper care, and the supplies needed to stay in class safely.
